Maintenance & Repairs:
Signs that something major is about to happen could signal the need for a tune-up. A tune-up can prevent a long list of problems from popping up and is recommended every 30,000 miles or 2-years. Perhaps the time has come to clean out vital components such as the fuel injector or intake manifolds the suffer dirt, varnish, and carbon build-ups. Don’t ignore your timing belt either. We recommend you change it every 60,000 miles and change your oxygen sensors at 60,000 to 70,000 miles.
Computer Diagnostic Service:
Diagnostic scanners are perfect tools for today’s technician. They are key to reading your vehicles sensors located in the engine that send key data to the main computer. The main computer tries to solve the problem, and in the case that is can’t fix the issue, an internal computer triggers the check engine light. Once this happens, a code is generated, which the technician can read using his or her diagnostic computer to help identify and fix the problem.
Think about this: A proper wheel alignment at Colonial Service Station costs less than a brand new set of 4 tires. Rather than flushing money down the drain, protect the money you have already invested in your vehicle. A great way of doing this is by maximizing the road life of your tires. A wheel alignment is recommended once every year or sooner if you frequent rough roads. You can often tell when your needs an alignment if your tires tend to wear unevenly and veer to the left or right of the roadway. Needless to say, this can be dangerous. Not only does a poor wheel alignment result in an uncomfortable ride, but you are also forced to spend money on replacements until the problem is appropriately addressed.
Understanding Tire Pressure:
Your tire sensors can trigger for various reasons. A change in the season or temperature doesn’t mean your tire is about to go flat. Tire sensors are very sensitive, one or two pounds difference can trigger a light on your dashboard. When that happens, stop by Colonial Service Station and we will check your tire pressure free of charge.
